The Settler - Shades Of History

Updated: Apr 3, 2021

The Settler plan is a rugged styled home design, reflecting a certain character that perhaps may be backdated to the great human push westward across the North American continent. In particular, it was a time when gold was discovered, rapidly followed with mining towns, related business structures, and workers home's dotting the landscape. On a historical note fortune seekers arrived in hopes of a better life and the opportunity to provide what most all people sought --- A happy family, good health, a nice home, job stability, and peace of mind.

However, for the the most part the mining was short lived and sadly, many failed to realize their dream. In researching the gold rushes of California, Nevada, Colorado, and elsewhere, many former mining towns are now ghost towns, or at best, having just a small portion of it's former population and commerce today. Nonetheless, many structures from these bygone gold mining days remain today, as do the memories of their former strength and purpose.

The Settler design offers a certain style and look that bridges the old and new, finding it's own place amongst memorable architectural categories.
